Books, books and more books!!!!

So our blog has sort of gone off in a not so swell start. School, jobs and what-nots have the better of us all. But I'll just share a few books I have been reading. I really love books that are based on some historical fact. Historical fiction you could say. But there are the odd few that aren't like that.

So the first one "painted girls" is based on Degas's famous statue of the fourteen year old ballet girl. It has its slow parts but it was an interesting take on what little information was provided of the original model who posed for Degas. Also may have some uncomfortable pages (just skim through them)

Second book "Virgin Cure" is once again a period based novel. Its a bit graphic in details as well and has some violence. But it does have you routing for the characters!

"Paris Letters" is the book I'm currently on. Its based on a woman's blog. Her goal initially to save enough money to quit her job and travel Europe. Basically I like this book cause I want to do this one day. Also I love the idea of painted letters, capturing scenic landscapes, travelling the world. Some how Janice MacLeod manages to do just that.

Hope you enjoy reading these as much as I did. If you have any books you'd like to share please don't hesitate do drop a comment to let us know. We could add it to our pile of "to read" books. :)

Until next time!
